had never really thought about it. I was just getting on with things: work, family, the constant to-do list. But when I actually sat with the question, it made me feel uncomfortable. Because the honest answer was: I'd probably be exhausted. Still saying yes to things I don't really want to do. Still putting myself last.
I realised I've been living in this cycle of being busy, thinking that means I'm doing okay. But busy isn't the same as fulfilled. I don't want to look back in five years and realise I had the chance to make a change, and I didn't take it.
That question gave me the clarity I needed to start making different choices. It didn't give me all the answers, but it reminded me that I do have a say in what my life looks like.

I'm still figuring things out, but I'm asking myself that question more often now. It's a simple one, but it's powerful. Because it makes me take responsibility, and it reminds me that change doesn't have to be dramatic to be meaningful.
